Faces of Nature Project TWELVE PRINTS: Photographs from Home Grandmother Tree in Spring, (c) 2020 Preview: Photographs from Home, has become a series mainly about strength and resiliency seen through the Grandmother Tree, planted in my backyard in 1575 in Normandy, France. I observe the way she changes and expertly transforms to meet the challenges of each season. In some ways we are all like her— planted in place—as we confront the pandemic. Photographs from Home is also about courage and finding a sense of our own nature and connection to personal power through the experience of isolation by looking to the land for support. Seeing beauty and joy in everyday scenes -- despite the new challenges facing us-- has become a task for many as we forge ahead in a new world full of uncertainties. This marvelous tree has shown me her strength and resiliency over the months of confinement in my home. I’ve watched as she has changed and adapted to meet whatever comes, as we must all do now,
